So you have a great, reliable DD & $20k burning a hole in your pocket. You are also itching to have some more fun in life.
There are few options for you to choose from, the 'Murican brawler, European classic, or Japanese drift machine.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! has gone full American with a 440 slotted up front, because why not? If you don't live near anything that resembles a corner this is thing would be a blast.
Or maybe you're the kind of person that does like corners. In that case no one could argue with !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Those wheels, that spoiler … hubba.
But maybe "sideways & smiling" is your mantra, a slightly used !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! could be perfect. With only 7k miles, you could even say its the sensible choice.
What car (& therefore lifestyle) do you choose?

Call 911.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 12:49 |

That was fast, but also completely justified.

FR-S, baby.

10/10 would drive this frankenstein

911. I've looked at the exact one for about a year now and can't believe it hasn't sold. If I had the money that thing would be gone. It's perfect.

It pains me to say the Porsche, because that Dart is sick.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 12:54 |

As much as I love that ducktail'd SC ... dat Dart ... Holy Hell! So. Much. Want.
Oh yeah, the Scion wouldn't stand a chance. Might as well burn it.

If its been that long they must be willing to deal now.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 12:54 |

This one.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 12:54 |

You managed to make this very difficult. Well since I have a reliable DD, the Scion is gone. It's not quite "fun" enough anyway.
The Dart is tempting. Because V8. But it's gold.
So 911 it is.

I know right? I'm not a drag guy, but daammmnnn.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 12:55 |
|
But what engine do you use?
![]() 07/09/2014 at 12:55 |

I'd take the 911, but that Dart is pretty sweet too.
I'd rather have either of them over the FR-S because of depreciation.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 12:55 |

Hard to argue, I'm assuming it would still have the warranty too.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 12:55 |

Both? ;)
![]() 07/09/2014 at 12:56 |

Both of them.

If the 911 were a few years older, or if the Dodge didm't have a 440, it would be the Porsh (troll). But it is a 1981, and the Dart does have a 440, so I'm going to go with the Mopar.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:00 |

Well, if it's there in 18 months I might just consider it. I'm not that familiar with 911s, but I really want one. Hopefully this thing isn't a dressed up shitbox.

Is there something I don't know about 1981 911's?
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:02 |
|
To be honest, that may be why it hasn't sold ….
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:02 |
|
I'm glad it was at least a challenge. But IMO the gold is even better, dates the car more.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:03 |
|
Nah, I just prefer ones like this:
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:03 |

Damn …. this should of been a 'DD, Track, Burn' oops.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:04 |

Good point, the classics are about as cheap as they'll ever get. Didn't think of that.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:04 |

911
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:04 |
|
Yah, but for that price and what it looks like, I'm surprised no one has bought it. Those wheels, bumpers and exhaust and still worth money.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:05 |

I just want a big block as some point in my life.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:06 |

I have to go with the Dart because my grandfather had one in the same color.....minus the 440.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:08 |

Exactly! That gold is exceedingly proper on this car. See also that distinctive Mopar Green they used back then.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:08 |

911 in a heartbeat
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:12 |

even with 130k miles?
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:14 |

Fitting.

![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:16 |

Ehh the '81 is close enough for me. But the Dart is also a great choice.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:17 |

Yupp, I love the painted steel wheels too.
07/09/2014 at 13:51 |

Dart. No question about it. If that 930 was a turbo the answer would be Porsche though.
![]() 07/09/2014 at 13:52 |

It's between 100K and 150K that many things need replacement. I know there would be things that would need to be done, but the guy did do a good bit to the car. With 911s you are better off have a high milage car that's been taken care of and driven rather than a low milage car that's been babied.

Dart
mopar or nocar

The Miata.

You could buy a 911 for that much in 2014?
Give it to me.

Jeez thats cheap. I guess we all should have said that one, could’ve made some in just a few years.
